Facts unimportant: Key point is that the ECJ referred to the fact that the EP mentioned the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union (CFREU) in the preamble to a directive, noting that it had an article on right to family life that was v similar to the ECHR one.
Not relied on in reaching outcome of case though.
