Plaintiff was the representative of X who had told Defendants that if they paid off the mortgage on his house then they could have the house. They began to pay off the mortgage.
Plaintiff tried to revoke the offer, once X had died.
The CA held that a unilateral contract could not be revoked once the offerees had commenced performance, provided their performance was not left “incomplete and underperformed” - Per Lord Denning
